CHAPTER 75 - Investigating the Truth (2)

Ella left the security room and went straight back to THE Dillon family hall.

The servants didn't dare to gather now, and all of them were earnestly going about their business, not even daring to utter a breath where Ella was present.

"Which room isOlivia in?" Ella asked one of the men.

"Over there, in that direction, walk out a door and see a row of houses where the servants live, Olivia is in the third room." The maid said in a rush, seemingly eager to please Ella.

Ella nodded slightly.

She walks over to Olivia's room door and knocks.

A frightened voice came from inside, "Who?"

"Something for you, open the door." Ella said, "It's Ella."

There seemed to be silence for several seconds before he spoke, "Okay, right away."

Then the door to the room was opened.

Olivia seems emotionally stable, except for her scarlet eyes and nose, where you can tell she just cried.

"Can I come in?" Ella asked.

"Uh ...... can, can." Olivia was visibly flustered.

Ella walked in.

When you walk in, you see the room and there is obviously a lot of cat hair.

Olivia seemed to notice Ella's eyes as well, and quickly said, "Pamela comes to play in my room a lot too, I just didn't realize ......"

"You and Pamela should be very close." Ella asked.

"Other than Miss, it's me who spends the most time with Pamela."

"You should be sad that it died."

Olivia nods, "Uh-huh."

"By the way, how long have you been accompanying your lady?"

"I've been taking care of Missy for eight years."

"So 8 years should be a good idea of what your lady cares about most, right?"

"Of course, I know all about the young lady."

"Then why didn't you look after Pamela when you knew she was so important to Miss?" Ella questioned.

Olivia was stunned.

That moment was being taken aback by the sudden aura Ella exuded.

"Or did you fail to take care of Pamela on purpose?"

"No, how could I have done it on purpose! I know Miss loves Pamela, and I've been taking care of her with all my heart, more carefully than I would my siblings." Olivia quickly retorted.

"You have younger siblings?" Ella asked.

"Yes, my family is poor, I came out to work when I was very young, and it was hard to come to the Dillon family to work as a maid. the Dillon family lord and lady and young masters and young ladies are all very nice, and generous to us maids, and I'm really glad to be able to work here."

"Will a job here help you support your family?"

"Our home there is a poor place, there are not a lot of expenses, I can support my family with my monthly salary and pay for my siblings' tuition and living expenses."

"Meaning, you're terrified of losing the job."

"I'll do my job to the best of my ability." Olivia promised in a huff.

"Okay, I get it, I was just asking." Ella looked at Olivia and suddenly changed the subject, "Say, who do you think had something to do with Pamela's death?"

The tone is actually quite light.

It's like having a normal conversation.

"I-I really don't know." Olivia was visibly panicking.

"I feel curious too. Don't they say cats have nine lives? How could they drown?" Ella said slyly.

Olivia's eyes visibly twinkle and she doesn't even dare to say more.

"By the way, I have heard that a cat is a very spiritual animal, even if it dies, its soul will return to the owner who originally raised it, I don't know if that's true. If it does come back, you remember to ask Pamela how it really died, and if it accidentally drowned itself, then it's just that it had a bad life. If not, you and Isla, as the people closest to Pamela, should find out the truth for it so that it can die in peace."

Ella's seemingly careless comment caused Olivia's entire body to tighten up.

She said in a bit of a panic, "How can there be a soul, it's all a lie ......"

"I'm just talking off the top of my head." Ella was indifferent, "I just came to ask about Pamela's relationship with your lady, nothing else."

"I'll send Third Miss."

"No need."

Ella waved and walked out.

The moment he walked out, a cold smile played at the corner of his mouth.

She went back down the hall and called Al away again straight away.

Al was still trembling, "Third Miss."

"Is your cell phone there?" Ella asked.

Al took out his cell phone in a hurry.

"Open it up for me."

"Yes." Al did as he was told, and it was actually quite inexplicable.

Ella operated on Al's cell phone, asking as she did so, "Does this purr sound like Pamela?"

"Unlike. pamela's purr would be a little softer."

"What about this?"

"Still not quite."

"What about this?"

"Kind of like, it could be a little gentler."

"This?"

"Yeah, this one's a lot like it." Al was thrilled.

"Good." Ella downloaded the audio.

She handed Al her cell phone, "I'm going to give you an assignment that you can't tell anyone about."

"Yes." Al nodded in a rush.

Ella gave Al an account of what happened.

Al seems to be in a bit of a bind.

"Just do what I say." Ella said bluntly.

"But that's not good for Olivia ......"

"Soon you'll know if this is good for her or not." Anne.

Al can't disobey the order and just agrees.

Afternoon.

Ella hasn't left yet.

Good on.

None of the Dillon family are back yet.

Even Eden didn't come back.

Everyone seems to be all over Isla.

Isla is still really a treasure in their family.

I also don t know how ...... tragic it will be when this treasure is recognized for what it really is.

She's really not that kind anymore.

Having lived one more life myself, I know very well that to be kind to others is to be cruel to myself.

She watches the time.

Walked to Olivia's room again.

She waited at the door of the room for a moment.

A moment.

Al came out of his room.

Turning her head to look at Ella.

Ella reached out.

Al hurriedly handed Ella her own cell phone, which was playing the audio that had just been turned off, the one of the cat calling.

She took her cell phone, put it inside her shirt pocket and walked in.

Walking in and looking inside Olivia is pale as hell.

Olivia was a different person as soon as she saw Ella, she even pulled a smile and called out to her respectfully, "Third Miss looking for me?"

"I'll be leaving soon. But there's something I want to say to Isla, and since Isla is unstable right now, I can only ask you to pass it on for me."

"Good." Olivia nodded in a huff.

Ella said, "Tell the lady that I really had nothing to do with Pamela's death and that I'm worried about her health and hope she can come out of it soon."

Ella said as she spoke.

While using her hand inside her dress bag, she turned on her cell phone, the audio purr of a cat.

Olivia's face visibly changed.

Ella, however, continued with a self-conscious face, "When she is well, I will accompany her in going to purchase a cat as lovely as Pamela to accompany her ......Olivia?"

Olivia snapped back.

"Are you listening?"

"In in in." Olivia replied in a rush, a look of panic clearly all over her face at that moment, "Did you hear anything?"

"What's that noise?" Ella was surprised.

"No no no, what." Olivia shook her head in quick succession.

Shake your head frantically.

Ella just took Olivia's look in and took it in stride.

So, a thief will always be a thief!
