CHAPTER 53 - The Great Wedding (11) The Rich Bride Price of the Dillon Family
"For as long as I live, I'll only have Ella, the only woman." Eden's words were distinctly quiet.
Yet it seemed to be heard by the entire ballroom.
It's just, shocking.
Ella's heart was all a little, inexplicably throbbing at that moment.
Although if she knew that everything was just an act, she would be a little, overwhelmed by Eden's confession.
She could only be thankful that she had lived 32 years.
If it was really her 22 years, maybe, it would have been really touched by Eden.
It also has to be said.
After Eden's reminder, it became clear in that moment that Lucien was, really, worthless.
Lucien, naturally, is taken aback by Eden's remark, sarcastically.
Clearly Eden is an uneducated dude.
And yet suddenly have so many halos.
It's even something that Lucien has worked, very, very hard to get over the years, and Eden seems to be just, well, believable.
The more I think about it.
The more angry and enraged he became in his mind, the more angry he became.
He was the number one male in Seattle, how could he possibly accept being compared to someone just like that.
But.
What else can you do if you don't accept him?
Eden spoke out saying there was, all of it was true, and he simply couldn't refute it.
He suppressed a great deal of emotion, and at that moment saw that Leafscape maintained his humble demeanor and politely asked Athena, "Mrs. Ford, any further complaints?"
Athena was also, at that moment, dumbfounded by Eden's words.
Who would have thought that such a man with such a bad reputation would have such a glorious day!
Some stalemate and even awkward space.
Eden smiled, a smile that could really be magnificent, "Since there are no more, I'm going to take Ella, and get a marriage license."
Marriage License.
Ella was stunned.
At the time, although she didn't say so, it was tacitly acknowledged that she wouldn't get a marriage license.
It's fine to have a wedding, it's fine to announce to the public that they are married, but there should be no legal effects involved.
In time.
When you separate, you don't have to go so far into the formalities.
However now ......
Ella doesn't move.
Maybe Eden is just, well, saying it on purpose, too.
That moment finished, wrapped his arms around her and planned to leave.
"Wait!" Athena suddenly called out to them again.
Ella was a little tense with emotion at that moment.
Yet Eden was just able, with a clouded face, to say, "Is there anything else Mrs. Ford would like to order?"
"Marriage is not a matter of two people, it's a matter of two families. The elders haven't even agreed amongst themselves, so you just go ahead and get the license, is there any semblance of family discipline left!" Athena was still trying to find ways to stop it.
Now it seems she can't control Ella.
But Ella can't disobey her parents, and no matter how terrific Eden has just been, ultimately, the original reputation is not good, and it's hard to flip it on a dime. Plus, would the Dillon family agree? There's no way they wouldn't have half a mind to marry their daughter-in-law out of the blue.
Eden nodded at that moment, seeming to agree with what Athena had said, "The old lady was right, I was reckless."
Athena couldn't help but get a look of arrogance on her face when she heard Eden say that and thought she had gotten her way.
Next.
"The matter of marriage, without a door-to-door marriage proposal, without a bride price to welcome the bride, it is indeed my THE Dillon family's ill-conceivedness. Here, the late generation first apologizes to the old lady." The one who spoke was Titus.
He was joined on stage by his wife Kate, who was very polite.
Athena to the Dillon family when the family or to give enough face, her tone obviously amiable a lot, "Titus do not blame me for the old woman strange, marriage, is not a child's play, I do not want to make a big mistake, when not in-laws into a family, it would be more than worth the loss."
"The old lady is extremely right. Marriage is not child's play and cannot be taken so casually. So it just so happens that in front of all the guests, I present the bride price of THE Dillon family." Titus said, clearly prepared, "Mr. Carlson."
"Yes, Master." A middle-aged man respectfully stepped forward.
He took out a list to everyone and read in a neutral tone, "Today, the Dillon family's canine son, Eden, marries the Ford family's first lady, Ella, and hereby prepares a bride price as follows: 1. Gift money of eighty-eight million dollars; 2. 1 high-class residential building in Phoenix Bay under the Dillon Group's real estate; 3, 1 million-class car; 4, gift EllaDillon Group five percent of the original shares, as pre-marital property."
The scene, literally, was shocked.
All of the previous ones, although if they are also worth a lot of money, are not worth the gift of the last original shares.
The Dillon Group, as the first of the four big families and the richest man in the country, has a market value of hundreds of billions of dollars, and five percent of its shares are worth more than two billion dollars. But this is not the point, the point is, the Dillon family gift is the Dillon Group family can only have the Dillon Group shares, so gifted to Ella and as her prenuptial property, is not to highlight Ella in the Dillon family's status?
This sincerity could not be refused by anyone else.
So after Mr. Carlson finished reading out the list of bride price, Titus said enthusiastically to the Ford Group couple, who had also arrived on the stage, "Future in-laws, do you think the bride price is reasonable, and if you have any dissatisfaction, feel free to mention it."
Where dare you be disgruntled.
Ella and Lucien got married and the Williams family not only didn't pay a dime, but it set the family back 2 billion dollars.
Now the Dillon family can be considered to have come up with a full measure of sincerity.
How can they be good enough to go unable to refuse.
Not to mention.
Jack glanced at Ella.
was asking her with his eyes if this was all her arrangement?
Actually, no.
It never occurred to her to have to ask THE Dillon family couple to help them with their act, and she couldn't have surprised them any more than she had to.
But it's done.
She couldn't think about it that much.
She nodded at her parents.
Jack was a little helpless after all.
I thought my own daughter had just repented of her marriage, but I didn't realize that she was going to be married again.
Eden is looking good and has had some success, but ultimately ......
Strike that, too.
Ella, having determined that, of course, he would support it unconditionally.
He smiled warmly, "Titus you are so generous, we didn't even give a dowry, you gave a heavy enough bride price."
"It's not heavy, it should be. Besides, Ella marrying my Eden is our family Eden climbing high." Titus said sincerely, "For this brat of mine to be able to marry your family's little princess, I've really cultivated eight lifetimes of good fortune!"
"I won't allow you to disparage my son-in-law like that!" Jack pretended to be angry.
Titus couldn't help but rejoice, "Mr. Ford is agreeing to this marriage thing."
"Can I not agree? You've reached this point, you must not beat me to death if I don't agree. Besides, marriage is a matter for the children themselves, as long as they are happy, who are we to tell them what to do."
That comment, obviously, just slapped Athena in the face.
She had originally thought of letting them oppose the marriage, but she didn't expect the two families to hit it off, and the marriage was settled in name only.
