CHAPTER 130 - Driving away the nemesis with great joy!
Quiet on the rooftop.
The rest of the Ford Group's senior staff were literally dumbfounded by the scene in front of them.
Donald's face today, isn't it too swollen.
Ella waited absently for Donald's reply.
Waited for several minutes.
The moment Ella lost her patience a bit.
Donald balked at another admission, "I told Lewis to do it."
Say it.
It really turns everyone's perspective upside down again.
Keeping a mistress and abusing one's power, even if it is of a bad nature, is considered a rare thing.
But this kind of despicable tactics really begs one to question the bottom line of character.
Ella was calm.
Not surprised because of the obvious, she said, "I wonder what on earth I've done to Mr. Bayden to threaten me in this way! If Lewis really jumped down and I followed him, then Mr. Bayden would have two lives on his hands! Just ask me how big of a grudge do we have that you would do this to me?!"
Donald's face was embarrassed by Ella's aggressive words.
"Is it because I didn't listen to Mr. Bayden the last time he was in a high-level meeting, so I'm holding a grudge and trying to get back at me in any way I can?" Ella is making excuses for Donald.
Donald's face went a shade of red and white at the comment.
"Or is Mr. Bayden actually, also, being ordered around?!" Ella hit the nail on the head.
It was a natural moment to also try to expose Morton along with it.
Sure.
It wasn't easy.
Donald is also very resourceful, he is now suffering, if he really gave out his accomplice, there is not even a chance to turn around in the future. Keeping Morton might even allow him to rise again in the future, he acted a little too manic, "I just can't stand your attitude, I just can't stand the fact that you can go toe-to-toe with us at such a young age! I just want to teach you a lesson, it has nothing to do with anyone else!"
Ella also knew that she couldn't force it at the moment.
The way things were going, it was kind of basically what she expected.
First, it clears her of bullying an employee into committing suicide.
Second, let Donald steal a chicken and be exposed in public as a scandal.
Third, it succeeded in driving her father's nemesis, sensibly, out of the company.
She said, "Mr. Bayden, now that all is water under the bridge, I don't think Mr. Bayden wants to stay with THE Ford Group anymore, with all the charges against him, and make a joke out of all the employees."
Donald gritted his teeth.
Gritting his teeth, he said fiercely, "I resign!"
"Good." Ella agreed in one gulp, "Chairman, since Mr. Bayden is willing to take the blame and resign, I suggest that Mr. Bayden's use of private power for personal gain can be forgiven. No matter what, Mr. Bayden has been in the company for so many years, without hard work there is also hard work, we should still give Mr. Bayden a chance to reform himself."
"I agree with Ms. Ford." Jack nodded immediately.
The use of the Ms. Ford designation is a clear acknowledgement of her abilities!
Nor did he hide the great joy that was within him at the moment.
For so many years, every time he talked about Donald he just had his teeth itching to go against him at every turn, but there was nothing he could do about Donald because of who they were to each other.
He really didn't even realize that it took his daughter just a week to get Donald to consciously, voluntarily, and automatically fuck off?
Simply.
Great joy, great joy!
"As for Lewis ......," Ella said with a twinkle in her eye.
Looking at Lewis, who was still crouching on the ground at the moment, his pants wet.
She said in a cold voice, "Voluntarily apply to leave your job!"
Where would Lewis have dared to say another word against it.
Having lost his face to this point today, he didn't have the face to stay any longer.
I just didn't realize that I'd end up having to quit not to mention that I actually dragged Donald along with him.
And now that Donald's affair with his daughter has come to light, I'm afraid the packaged relationship is coming to an end.
He could hardly imagine that he had lost all his sources of income, and that he would have any good life ahead of him?
"Right." Ella suddenly thought of something, "Mr. Campbell."
"In." Alex answered.
"Calculate how much Lewis has been overpaid over the years and return it all together before he's processed for separation. If it's not returned within three days, we'll send it to law enforcement security."
"Good." Alex agreed in a huff.
Lewis blushed even worse.
Over 200,000 dollars and he has to give it back?
"Does the chairman have any other orders?" Ella methodically arranged everything before she respectfully asked Jack.
Jack was really pleasantly surprised at how well her daughter handled things.
It's not just Jack.
Everyone in the room looked at Ella differently.
No one could have imagined that the accident that happened today would end up in this situation.
It's even a moment of admiring Ella to the core.
"No more." Jack said crisply.
Ella smiled slightly.
She turned's to everyone, "So all senior leaders and staff, I apologize for the delay, so please return to your positions now. And Mr. Bayden and Lewis, hopefully within the day you will be able to process your departures."
Accounting is complete.
Everyone left one after another.
Jack and Ella were in the crowd.
Back to the office.
Ella instructed, "Mr. Parker, have someone keep an eye on me as Donald and Lewis leave today."
"Yes."
"Make me a cup of black coffee and a glass of water for Alfred. There's been too many delays today and I expect to be working late."
"Yes." Wilson deferred.
The moment I left, I still couldn't help but look back.
Looking at Ella's composure and calmness, she had already put herself into her work, completely without any elation because she had fought such a beautiful turnaround battle today, as if everything was within her grasp, and she didn't need to be too excited because she had predicted the outcome!
Wilson all but had to look at Ella differently.
At first, when she received the notice that she would come to assist Ella, she was 100 times unwilling to do so, but when she heard that it would be 3 months at most, or half a year at the most, she agreed to do so in order to show her gratitude to the chairman for her kindness. Originally, she had left with the original job of doing her duty, but now it suddenly gave her the illusion of having to follow Ella for the rest of her life.
A 22 year old yellow-haired girl who had just graduated from college was able to do this, and she couldn't find a second adjective to describe it other than admiration.
"Why, is there something else?" Ella asked, sensing Wilson's gaze.
"No." Wilson rushed back, "It just suddenly struck me that you're a lot more powerful than I thought you were."
"So still losing money?" Ella tapped on her keyboard, the corners of her mouth lifting.
"Into the stock, no less." Wilson said in a single word.
Ella laughed a little.
Her secretary, she thought, didn't seem so boring.
It's all internet-speak!
