CHAPTER 52 - The Big Wedding (10) Eden's Live Facepunching of Lucien

Ella's heart raced as she looked at the man in front of her, Eden.

She'd never seen him in a white suit, last life or this one.

His hair was combed regularly, one by one, and seemed to be carefully tended.

There wasn't a wrinkle in his clothes, and he looked more stable and mature than ever.

He even looked at her with ...... affection at the moment.

Ella unconsciously pursed her lips lightly.

It's clearly the same Eden.

Why does this moment feel like, well, a different person.

It was as if ...... had been reborn as well.

It's totally different from the usual Eden.

She calmed herself down, silently adjusting her emotions as she grew calmer.

Obviously, it's just an act.

A show that, from the beginning, was promised.

It's just that she didn't think Eden was going to show up, and now that it's suddenly there, it's a bit of a surprise to her, after all.

She eyed him.

Watch as his eyes stayed on her face and never moved away.

His hand snapped out in a handsome, dashing motion.

Jonas was offstage and rushed to hand him a bouquet of red roses to place in his hands.

The roses seemed to come with diamonds, and at the moment, in the light, they were radiant.

Everyone was mesmerized by the sparkling bouquet of roses.

So beautiful that it made all the women in the room tremble.

Ella was mesmerized at that moment, too.

It always seems that Eden, will surprise people in ways that are not expected.

And Lucien, totally different.

All Lucien could think of doing was some kind of conformity, those so-called romances that she could guess with her eyes closed.

Now that I think about it.

Lucien resents her rigid rules and lack of interest.

She disliked his just as much, wouldn't change, had no new ideas.

Original.

It really is the contrast that hurts.

She just looked at Eden and got down on one knee.

The heartbeat, it seemed, had become less regular again.

She looked at Eden, tall and straight, half-kneeling in front of her.

The whole world seemed to have gone quiet.

Everyone in the audience also became silent in the room because of Eden's sudden move.

Just be afraid that the slightest movement will detract from the beauty of what's in front of you.

The scene in front of me was truly, beautiful as a picture.

He said, "Ella, marry me."

Ella clenched her lips.

I have to admit, even my fingers were shaking at that moment.

She hadn't actually thought about letting Eden make it this far.

The fact is that whenever he comes, he casually asks her and she marries.

She let go of her clenched lips, and at that moment the corners of her mouth lifted into a wide smile, blindingly beautiful.

She said, "Good."

A "yes" that stunned everyone in the audience.

It always seemed that there was no way that something so dogmatic could happen in reality, but there it was, in the midst of one of Seattle's most famous and powerful families.

They came for either a wedding reception or a, what, annual play, right?

Ella reaches out, to take Eden's rose.

That moment.

Lucien seems to have just reacted from his shock as he quickly goes over and tries to pull Ella away as soon as he can.

But in that instant, a large hand more quickly wrapped Ella's entire being, into his embrace, completely avoiding Lucien's proximity with speed that was, well, amazing.

Ella doesn't even know how she jumped into Eden's arms.

It's not just Ella.

Lucien was also stunned by the image before him.

It took a good half a second to respond.

"First Master Williams, and behave yourself." Eden wrapped Ella in her arms, clearly asserting her sovereignty.

Lucien clenched his fists.

He cursed at Ella, "Are you crazy? Marrying anyone?!"

"The Dillon family's Third Master, head of the four Seattle families, who do you think it is?" Ella blushed.

It was inexplicably disliked at that moment, Lucien's disdain for Eden.

"Do you know what kind of person he is? Do you know how many women he has played with? You actually agreed to marry her! Ella, you better think about what you're doing!" Lucien threatened fiercely with suppressed anger.

"Only the state officials are allowed to set fire but not the people?!" Ella sarcastically, "If you play with women, you call it making a mistake that all men make, and if Eden plays with women, you call it having a character problem?"

"Can I be the same as him?" Lucien gritted his teeth.

"Not the same." Ella was blunt as hell, "You're of a worse nature than he is."

"Ella!" said Lucien who really wanted to kill her at that moment.

Even if Ella doesn't marry him, she can't marry another man in public.

It's a man's dignity.

Untouchable!

"I won't allow it!" Athena suddenly spoke again.

Ella blushed.

She wanted to retort that moment.

Eden gently covered her mouth with his hand.

Ella's heart fluttered slightly.

The warmth of his palm brought a warmth to her lips, for a moment.

Turns out, she still needed that much to lean on.

Just don't dare to look forward to it.

And two people acting like this clearly looked, ambiguous as hell.

That moment set Lucien's eyes on fire!

"Does Mrs. Ford have something against me?" Eden asked, humbly and courteously.

It's really a stark contrast to the now furious Lucien.

Had geometry.

Eden's the playboy who's a sleazebag and has nothing to show for it.

Lucien is the modest man with the suave and successful career.

Just for a moment.

Two images of people, perfectly switched.

Eden looks a hundred times more reserved than Lucien,..!

"What do you have that I should be satisfied with?!" Athena shows her contempt for Eden.

"On the subject of family. isn't the Dillon family enough to be a match for the Ford family?" Eden didn't look any different at Athena's put-down, he remained his humble self.

Athena was dumbfounded.

The Dillon family is the first of the four Seattle families, and is a great match for the Ford family, and a few blocks away from the Williams family!

"On looks. Am I far behind Lucien?" Eden continued to ask.

Eden is known to be the most handsome man in all of Seattle, bar none!

Lucien, on the other hand, isn't exactly good looking at all, except for that warm and fuzzy vibe he's camouflaging.

"On achievements. As far as I know, Lucien's greatest achievement to date is America's Most Outstanding Young Adult. and I, for one, happen to be." Eden's magnetic voice took on a gentle tone.

but hardened Athena's jaw.

"On generosity. I can spend 30 million dollars on Ella's favorite sapphire, and Lucien just watches as someone else takes Ella's heart."

At the moment, it wasn't just Athena, but Lucien as well, who was being told to blush.

"In terms of education... Lucien has a double master's degree from America's highest institution, and I, a double master's degree from the world's highest institution." Eden raised an eyebrow, "Jonas."

Jonas immediately understood and rushed to hand over Eden's academic credentials.

Eden hands it to Athena.

Athena didn't take it, but looked askance twice anyway.

is not quite convinced that Eden actually has such high academic credentials.

"Most importantly." Eden said, word for word, "I will only have Ella, the only woman, for as long as I live!"
