CHAPTER 165 - A Clash of Titles
Ella had a jolt.
It was because of the sudden noise that really startled her.
She spoke with an offended tone, "What are you talking about?"
"I said, do you need me to help you?" Eden repeated.
One second you're trying to test Ella.
The next moment he couldn't help it, he wanted to help her.
Ella shook her head and declined, "No need."
That moment was a split second of knowing, what Eden was talking about.
Says.
Need him to help her with Alice.
Anyway, there's no telling just how far Eden can go.
She just could be sure that Eden, even if she stayed home, knew that Alice was now deliberately targeting her.
Eden looked at the back of Ella's head.
Sleeping position every night, Ella had her back to him.
It seemed to be deliberately distancing them.
What she didn't realize was that this sleeping position was actually more dangerous for her.
She said, "I don't want to embarrass you for fear that you won't be able to do anything about your ex-girlfriend."
Actually.
It's Eden who doesn't want to stop her from being "mean" to Alice.
She's really not being kind right now.
Anyone who messes with her, she really will, in blood!
"I don't have an ex-girlfriend." Eden said in a single word.
There seemed to be some hidden anger in his tone.
"It doesn't matter to me either." Ella said not caring.
All she wanted now was to end the conversation and get to sleep early.
It was at that moment that she felt the person behind her, suddenly roll over and turn her back.
That is.
Angry.
Ella didn't think she said anything wrong, so what was he mad about.
Just be angry.
Just don't disturb her sleep.
And then one night.
Ella slept surprisingly soundly.
Completely unaware of the people around him, tossing and turning all night.
......
Early the next morning.
Ella woke up refreshed on a rare occasion.
It suddenly occurred to her that Eden hadn't actually pulled a midnight stunt last night, allowing her to get a really solid night's sleep.
And of course she didn't thank him.
After all, for the shifty Eden, she might turn into a Daemon and torture her to death in the next second.
She carefully got up from the bed and then carefully left.
From start to finish, not one more glance at Eden.
If she looked, she could find someone's sultry eyes staring back at her.
After breakfast, Ella went to the office.
Walking into the office, he directly ordered, "Is it to go to Radiant Pictures today to talk about Wendy's endorsement?"
"Yes." Wilson hurriedly replied, "I've already made an appointment with the other party, at ten o'clock in the morning Director Colin personally went over to talk about it, and I've brought the contract with me."
"Give Colin the word and I'll come along."
Wilson was a little surprised.
Do you need to be involved in this kind of advertising and media department?
And it's been a long day, isn't it?
"Just do it." Ella gave no explanation.
"Yes."
Wilson went out.
Back soon, "Ms. Ford, Mr. Hahn supervisor says he's leaving in ten minutes. Asks if you're coming along in the car?"
"No, I'll just follow his vehicle."
"Good."
Ten minutes later.
Ella takes Wilson and follows Colin's special car in Alfred's car to Radiant Pictures.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at Radiant Pictures.
Ella, along with Colin, goes to see Matthew, Wendy's agent, to talk about the contract.
Just walked into Matthew's personal office.
Matthew's secretary politely said, "I'm sorry you two, our Mr. Phillips is receiving other guests, please, wait a moment."
Colin blushed visibly, "We had an appointment for ten a.m. It's five minutes away."
"I'm really sorry." The secretary was full of apologies.
Colin was a little tough, "I'm going to see Matthew in five minutes, so go make the announcement."
"Okay." The secretary was respectful, "Both of you sit down for a while, I'll go and brief them right away."
Colin waved his hand in the air, just a look of annoyance.
After all, they, as Party A, were so let down by Party B, they definitely couldn't lose face.
Not to mention in front of Ella.
Ella is as calm as can be.
She had basically guessed why Matthew was meeting with other people at the moment.
I also have to say that Alice is really cautious enough.
It's been rumored for days that she's going to get an endorsement from Wendy, and it's really pinpointed the right time to shortcut them when they're actually going to talk about it.
Also on guard against her playing dirty tricks right?
Seriously, if it weren't for the extra ten years of life.
She hadn't really been that easy, letting Alice take the bait so easily.
A moment.
The secretary stepped forward and said politely, "Mr. Phillips invites you in."
Ella frowned.
Talking about it so soon?
Colin walked in first, looking a little cocky.
Ella was a close second.
Walking into the reception room inside Matthew's office, he caught a glimpse of Alice.
Alice and Matthew seem to be having a good conversation, with Wendy sitting next to them.
They went in and in turn disturbed the general.
Fortunately, Matthew's senior agent, emotional intelligence is naturally online, see them come, hastily and enthusiastically said, "Sorry Mr. Hahn, I'm sorry to delay you and make you wait for a long time. Come, come, sit down first."
With that, he greeted Colin and Ella as they sat on the couch.
At this moment Alice stood up from the sofa, "Since Mr. Phillips is here as a guest, I won't bother you anymore. Regarding Ms. Wendy's endorsement with the business circle that our company is about to create, we will have to work hard for you to rationalize Ms. Wendy's schedule."
"Don't worry, I'll make sure to arrange it so that there's absolutely no delay in making announcements for Ms. Hamilton."
Alice nodded.
Turn around and get ready to leave.
"What do you mean?" Colin obviously heard a hint of something wrong from their conversation and quickly asked, "Old Liu, wasn't Wendy's endorsement given to us? How come it's suddenly given to someone else?!"
"When did you say you wanted Wendy to endorse it?" Matthew instead acted surprised, "Didn't you just mention that there was a collaboration for Wendy? Didn't specify what it was?!"
Colin naturally didn't say so explicitly.
A general statement inside the phone call and also the idea is to just come in today to talk about finalizing it.
But I didn't expect to be suddenly cut off.
This one star, surely, can't take on two endorsements at the same time where there is competition.
His face visibly hardened to the extreme all of a sudden.
Alice, who was ready to leave but intentionally didn't, spoke up, "Could it be that the Ford Group, too, is ready to find Wendy for endorsement? What a coincidence."
Colin was too angry to say a word at that moment.
I thought to myself, if this thing is messed up, I might go back and be sarcastic again by Ella!
"Yeah, I didn't realize Ms. Hamilton felt the same way, it's quite a coincidence." Ella spoke up, sarcasm evident in her voice.
But a soldier can't be too deceitful.
What can Ella do with more sarcasm?
The mall has never been about results, the process and all that, that's an excuse for losers and never holds any significance.
